CRAV - Cresto Rope Access Vertical

This course prepares the candidate for authorization to CRAV, Cresto Rope Access Vertical.

Target group

Everyone with a need to be able to aid in a rescue in difficult conditions. Such as rescue services, wind-power, mast workers, roofers, construction workers, scaffolders, snow removers and others.

Course goal

After a successful completion of the course, the participant shall:

Inspect your own equipment and rope system
Climb, descend and move between ropes in a 2-rope system.
The candidate will be able to rig their own rope system
Carry out simple rescues tasks

Practical elements

Knots: figure-of-eight and, double- eight, Alpine butterfly knot and Barrel knot

Rigging: Single anchor point and simple two-point anchors
Climb/descend and negotiate an edge
Climb/descend and negotiate an edge
Tool change, shift from descent device to rope climbs
Redirects
Mast climbing: use of snap hooks with fall arrester, and an understanding of the most common fall protection systems
Rescuing a person in distress using rope systems
Basics of lowering systems

Miscellaneous

A certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the course.

The course can be conducted at the customer's location.
