Rescue - Smartline is a course focused on rescuing a distressed with the rescue equipment AAK Smartline or Smartline X.

Target group

The course is suitable for those who work as line maintenance workers, wind-power, mast workers, arborists. Participants must be able to climb using climbing spikes and work positioning lanyards. The instructor reserves the right to exclude participants who cannot climb using climbing irons.

Course goal

After a successful completion of the course, the participant shall:

Successfully rescue a person in distress at height using AAK Smartline or Smartline X.

Workplace environmental regulations and European Norms (Fall Protection)
Product overview (run-through of equipment used)
Fall factors
EN standards
CE-marking, daily inspection, periodical inspection
Breaking loads and anchorage points
Rescue procedures and requesting for assistance
First responder actions in the event of an accident

Practical elements

Connections
Rescuing a person in distress (various methods) using rescue equipment. Everyone is to act as distress and as rescuer.

Miscellaneous

A certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the course.

The participants own equipment should be used in the first instance such as harness, support lanyard and helmet.
