For those who works as a wind-power technicians and are at least 18 years old.
After a successful completion of the course, the participant shall:
Have knowledge of relevant laws and standards for working on wind-power turbines
Understand the importance of a proper safety plan, risk assessment, rescue plan
Understanding of what happens in a fall
Have knowledge about how Personal Fall Protection
Equipment is correctly used:
- Full-body harness
- Fall arrest lanyard
- Work positioning lanyard
- Self-retracting lifeline
- Fall arrest shuttle – cable system
- Fall arrest shuttle - rail system
What happens in a fall?
What does the relevant Health & Safety law say?
Liability and responsibilities of the employer and employee?
What does the relevant Work Environment Authority say?
What are CE and EN markings?
Safety plan, risk assessment, rescue plan
What can be used as an anchorage point?
What equipment is used and how is it maintained?
Knowledge of the weather's influence
Correct use of Personal Fall Protection Equipment
Use of sliding shuttle on wire and rail systems
Lowering persons in distress
A certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the course.
The course ends with a written exam.
