GWO Sea survival (SS)

This course is aimed at those who work in the wind power industry and on wind turbines stationed at sea. You will be trained in using survival suits, handling on and off the boat and the wind power plant, as well as theoretical and practical knowledge about survival at sea.

Target group

For those who works as a wind-power technicians offshore and are at least 18 years old.

Course goal

After a successful completion of the course, the participant shall:

Have a good understanding of how a transfer between boat, port and WTG.

Theoretical elements

Laws and regulations
Hypothermia and drowning
PPE and additional equipment
Procedure between port-boat, boat-WTG, boat-boat and back
Man overboard
SAR, GMDSS
Survival skills in water

Practical elements

Transfer to boat and back
Transfer to WTG and back
Man overboard
Rescue with helicopter
Swimming with survivalsuit
Swimming in group

Miscellaneous

A certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the course.

INSTRUCTOR: Two Cresto-authorised instructor per max 8 participants
