GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA)
This course is aimed at those who work in the wind power industry and need enhanced knowledge within First Aid. You get a deeper understanding of injury management and are trained in, among other things, following guidelines and instructions for medical measures and preventative management while waiting for assistance from healthcare personnel.
Personnel (technicians) working in wind power with the aim of increasing their acute care skills. It is also aimed at employees who want to improve their level of knowledge within emergency care.
After a successful completion of the course, the participant shall:
Delivering immediate enhanced First Aid based on the “C”-ABCDE principle.
Good knowledge of enhanced prehospital care
Knowledge of Telemedical Consultation
Knowledge of “C”-A-B-C-D-E
Knowledge about Laws and regulations
National and international requirements
Deliver enhanced life saving first aid using the C-ABCDE principal
Action/emergency plan in an Emergency
Knowledge about medical equipment within prehospital care:
- Bag valve mask (BMV)
- Cervical collar
- Oropharyngeal tube
- Laryngeal tube
- Heart rate monitor
- Analgesic and medication
- Drug administration
Practical training and assessment /care with the C-ABCDE principal:
- Casualty position / free airways needed to facilitate breathing with advanced equipment
- Assisted breathing with equipment
- Stop serious bleeding with advanced equipment
Scenario based training
A certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the course.
The course can be held at the customer.
A WINDA ID is mandatory for this course. Please prepare in advanced!

COURSE LENGTH: 24 hours - 3 days (2 days if you have certificate in GWO FA or FAR)
PERIOD OF VALIDITY: Valid for 2 years
INSTRUCTOR: One Cresto-authorised instructor per max 6 participants
