Working on roofs is a theoretical and practical course about safe working practices on roofs and making safe anchor points.

Target group

The target group is roofing workers, construction workers, metal workers, snow removers and others.

Course goal

After a successful completion of the course, the participant shall:

Have knowledge of good anchorage points
Be familiar with roof specific equipment
Be well-versed in anchor knots
Be able to make a safe anchor with several fixation points
Set advanced anchorage points
Be able to make a risk analysis
Be able to make a rescue plan

Theoretical elements

Laws and regulations related to roof work
The fall protection system, what does it mean and what to think of
Different anchoring points and how they are used
Loads on anchoring points
Equipment for working on ceilings and how they work
Risk analysis and what it means
Rescue plan and rescue in theory

Practical elements

Evaluation of anchor knots
Setting-up multi-point anchor
Anchor equilibrium conditions
Work with two fall protection systems
Rescue

Miscellaneous

A certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the course.

The course can be adapted to customer-specific goals.
